Review Lessons One to Three, The Flood
Reading
We will be reviewing a variety of skills and learning how to write constructed responses to questions about a story.  Students will get to pick a story from Unit One to read this week.
Language—Traits of Writing
We will edit and publish our "Me Bag" writing, then review the 6+1 Traits of good writing
Math—L. 25-L. 29    
Fractions that add to 1; Dozens and half-dozens/Naming a fraction of a group; Naming and writing numbers to 1,000; Writing money using $; Reading a thermometer to 2 degrees
Social Studies—Maps and Globes
Map Symbols; Classroom/Bedroom Maps; Using a map scale
--We will be working on making maps of our bedrooms.  Students will have three days to work in class, and the finished map will be due next Wednesday.  They will bring home a more detailed description and grading sheet.
Science—Plants (Ch. 1)
Coniferous/Deciduous trees; Parts of a seed; Life cycles of plants
*Test will be early next week; I will let students know the exact date.

Spelling Words—Lesson 2

--Two of the challenge words (marked with *) will be randomly chosen for extra credit on Friday's test.
