First Grade News: Feb. 9-13

Monday: Surely in temples made with hands God, the Most high, in not dwelling
Tuesday: High above earth His temple stands, All earthly temples excelling.
Wednesday: Yet He who dwells in heaven above chooses to live with us in love,
Thursday: making our bodies His temple.
Math- Students will be learning to order events, subtract a number from 10, and identify a dozen and half dozen. Students will have a fact test and written test on Tuesday.

Reading-The theme of the unit is “North, South, East, West.” Students will be reviewing the /oo/ sound in foot. We will be finishing our unit on Tuesday. We will spend the rest of the week on benchmark tests, comprehension, and building fluency. Students will have a test on Tuesday over the concepts learned this week. The high frequency words for the test are: very, good, now, here, go

First Grade News
*Gracie Brewster will be the student on the all about me board next week. Please send in pictures by Friday.
*The Valentines Day party will be Friday, Feb. 13 at 2:30. Here is a list of who signed up to help with the party: snacks-Tiffany East; Drinks- Missy Nierman, Plates- Dusti Brewster, Napkins- Jamie Hehman, Party Favors- Teresa Brock, Help at Party- Melanie Pottschmidt and Dusti Brewster.
*First Grade will be conducting chapel on Tuesday, February 17. As always, everyone is welcome to attend chapel at 8:30.
*School will be closed on Monday, February 16 for President’s Day.
*We are out of tissues and plastic bags. If anyone would like to donate some please send them into school. Thank you!
