News and Notes
·   We are planning on ordering class shirts again this year to wear for field trips and special events. The cost should be somewhere between $6-8, depending on the number ordered. Please detach the slip below and return by this Friday (August 19). Thanks!
·   Just a reminder that students are asked to dress appropriately for chapel: no jeans, t-shirts, etc. Also, remember that girls need to wear shorts under any skirts or dresses, and no flip-flops or sleeveless tops are allowed.
·   Our class chapel offerings will be going to an organization called Samaritan’s Feet that gives shoes to needy children around the world, along with sharing the gospel through VBS-type activities. If you are interested in learning more, check out the website:
http://www.samaritansfeet.org/
·   Make sure you bring in your computer headphones and art portfolio by next week.
·   Starting this Friday, ice cream will be available for purchase at lunch (for students with clean trays). Items cost 25¢ to $1.
·   Our class has been asked to perform a skit at Trinity’s (Vallonia) 10th Annual Fish Fry on Sunday, September 11th. This will be sometime around 5:00 or 6:00; more details will come. If you know your child will NOT be able to attend, please let me know ASAP so we can start planning our presentation.
