Memory for the Week of 8/15-8/19
This week we will be studying the Bible verse chosen for our theme this year and our August hymn of the month, “Be Strong and Courageous.” All memory will be fill-in-the-blank.
Tuesday, 8/16 (Joshua 1:9)
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Wednesday, 8/17 (verse 1)
Be strong and courageous,
There is no need to fear;
For God is always with you,
His presence always near.
As you explore this vast world
Wherever you may go,
The Lord God travels with you,
His love all you need know.
Thursday, 8/18 (verse 2)
Exploring God’s Creation,
The wonders of His hand,
His majesty and power
Shine forth in ev’ry land.
Yet sin this world did enter
With pain and death and strife,
But God, etern’lly faithful,
Sent His Son bearing Life.
Friday, 8/19 (verse 3)
Christ walked this world among us,
And traveled down the road
That led to Calv’ry’s mountain,
Where for all His blood flowed.
But there are those around you
Who do not know His grace,
So go ye to the whole world
That all may see His face.
