Class Work
*Reading– Students will be reviewing long O and U sound in the beginning and medial position and reviewing previous letters both long and short sounds, vocabulary review, and comprehension. Students will be reading decodable #19 on Friday.
* Word Wall Words: then, when
*Religion– Jesus’ Resurrection
*Math- Students will be counting by 2, 5, and 10. We will be using a 100 chart to identify the number patterns. Students will have homework on Wednesday.
*Science- Unit on insects and butterflies.
*Social Studies- Our nation and our flag
This Weeks Happenings in
Kindergarten
Monday- Chapel at 8:30. Easter Party 2:15
Tuesday- Gym
Wednesday- Library
Thursday- Show and Tell- Bring a picture of your mom and write why you love her. Pictures should stay in the classroom until our Muffins for our Moms on Thursday, May 5.

Snacks and Drinks
Nolan Walker will have snacks and drinks this week.
Dylan Whitmore will have snacks and drinks next week.

News
All the children seem to know their chapel speaking parts. Just keep working with them on speaking loudly and distinctly please.
Don’t forget the Muffins for Mom immediately following Kindergarten’s chapel service. If a students’ mom is not able to come a grandma, aunt, or friend is welcome.
Money and order form for Cystic Fibrosis pizza day are due May 2.
The students who can tie their shoes will get to walk to Dairy Queen on May 13. Keep Practicing!
Emanuel Lutheran Church, Dudleytown will be having a spaghetti dinner on April 30 from 3 to 8 in the church basement. The dinner will be a free-will offering with all of the proceeds going to assist Tom Koester and his family with medical expenses and whatever else they need. Tom is battling stage 4 cancer. He is married to Michelle and they have 3 young daughters Kourtland, Karrington, and Kensley. There will also be a silent auction if you or someone you know would like to donate an item to the auction please let me know. Please keep Tom and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
Our Easter party will be on Monday, April 25. Those signed up to bring items are: Snacks-Jamie Walker; Drinks-Joanah Wischmeier; Plates-Joanah Wischmeier; Napkins-Amy Robinson; Party Favors-Mendy Stahl; Games-Melanie Pottschmidt; Help at Party-Joanah Wischmeier.Stephanie Teipen, and Jami Elmore. If you are not able to bring those items or have questions please let me know. We will have an egg hunt please send your child with a basket or bag on Monday.
Great Job Kindergarten! Thank you to all of the students for being so patience last week when our classroom flooded. Also thank you to everyone who helped clean up the classroom!
