Reading: We will finish our unit on trying this week. Students will read Winners Never Quit. There are two vocabulary words for this story: stomped and rather. Sound spellings used this week are /er/ spelled ear, long e spelled ey, and a review of long vowels. Students will also be learning about adjectives.

Math: We will finish Topic 10 on number patterns. There will be a test on Wednesday. Students will also be tested on counting by 2s to 20, 5s to 50, ,10s to 100 and identifying even and odd numbers. This will take place at the end of the week.
