Memory for March 7-11
By Mrs. Sprengel @ 3:57 PM :: 249 Views :: 5th Grade

Memory for the Week of 3/7-3/11

We will be continuing with the fourth part of the Sacrament of Holy Baptism and starting our March hymn of the month, “O Christ, You Walked the Road” this week. All memory will be fill-in-the-blank.

Tuesday, 3/8 (The Sacrament of Holy Baptism: Fourth)
What does such baptizing with water indicate? It indicates that the Old Adam in us should by daily contrition and repentance be drowned and die with all sins and evil desires…

Wednesday, 3/9 (The Sacrament of Holy Baptism: Fourth continued…)
…and that a new man should daily emerge and arise to live before God in righteousness and purity forever.

Thursday, 3/10 (The Sacrament of Holy Baptism: Fourth continued…)
Where is this written? St. Paul writes in Romans, chapter six: “We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”

Friday, 3/11 (verse 1)
O Christ, You walked the road
Our wand’ ring feet must go.
You faced with us temptation’s pow’ r
And fought our ancient foe.
