Memory- Christmas Program Parts
*I have listed on your child’s Christmas Program the date for each memory.
The date listed is what your child should study that night for the next day.
Please keep the Christmas program in your child’s folder because they
will need it for practices.
Math- Students will be learning to add 2-digit numbers without regrouping and problem solving this week. Students will have a fact test on Thursday and a written test on Friday.
Monday: Lesson 73B; Fact Homework 73
Tuesday: Lesson 74B; Fact 74B
Wednesday: Lesson 75B; Fact Homework 75
Reading-We are continuing this week with stories about “Our Neighborhood at Work”. Students will be working on the long I sound spelled i_e and I; the s sound spelled ce and ci.. Please work on these sounds at home if you notice any problems let me know.

Thursday: Decodable #62

Social Studies-U.S. Symbols
Students will be identifying U.S. symbols this week. They will be making a poster of U.S. and Indiana symbols on Thursday in class.
Science- How plants and animals grow and change

* Trevor Peters will be on the All About Me Board next week. Please send in pictures by Friday.
*The students did a great job participating in the Accelerated Reader program for the first week. I would like each student to take at least one each week. Please remember to fill out the form! Keep up the good work first grade!
*Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Thanksgiving party.
*We will have parents visiting this week to talk about their jobs. If you are not attending share with your child about your daily work and they will get to tell the class about it on Friday.
*We will begin practicing our Christmas programs this week. We will practice on Wednesday and Friday from 9 to 10 this week.
