Class Work
*Reading– We are beginning a new unit this week “Finding Friends.” We will be working on 2 sounds this week /s/ and /m/. Please work on these at home. A mini book “Seal” will be sent home on Monday night please read with your child and keep the book. “A Man” will be sent home on Wednesday night to read.
* Word Wall Words (star words) this week- red, yellow, orange, green
*Religion– The Story of Samuel
*Memory– Hymn of the Month Refrain
*Math- We will be working on the numbers, identifying fewer and more. Continue to work on identifying numbers and counting. Students will have a homework page on Wednesday night.
*Science –Plants and Animals; Fall Experiments
*Social Studies- Communities

Snacks and Drinks
Waylon Lutes will have snacks this week and be the star of the week. Please send pictures.
Sophia McKinney will have snacks next week and will be the star of the week.
News
Our Reformation party will be on October 29. Students will be asked to dress as a Bible story character or nursery rhyme character. We will be doing a costume parade with 1st and 2nd grade.

Just a reminder we do not have school Friday, Oct. 22 or next Monday, Oct. 25.
The student council will be selling suckers at lunch on Thursday and the next Friday. The suckers are 50 cents. |
