Religion: The Story of Ruth, The Story of Hannah
Memory: The Ten Commandments
Monday (Due on Tuesday): The Ninth Commandment You shall not covet your neighbor’s house.
Wednesday (Due on Thursday): The Tenth Commandment You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
Math: Students will continue working on Topic 5 about fives and tens.
Monday: Worksheet 5-3 and Rocket Math
Tuesday: Worksheet 5-4 and Rocket Math
Wednesday: Worksheet 5-5 and Rocket Math
Thursday: Test in class, Rocket Math
Reading: Students will be taking Benchmark 2 this week to assess their progress in reading. We will be having book clubs as a continuation of our unit about animal habitats. We will also be working on short vowel word families this week. We will also begin working on a class book. Students will be writing recipes for their favorite holiday food. There will not be a reading test this week.
Homework: Students will bring home a book to read each night.
Spelling: There will be a test on Friday.

*Parent teacher conferences will be held on Monday, October 18th and Tuesday, October 19th.
*A letter with your assigned conference time for parent/teacher conferences will be sent home this week. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are not able to attend at your assigned time.
*Help Session will be held on Thursday, 3:30-4:00.
