Memory: For Tuesday, October 5th Study:
The Fifth Commandment-You shall not murder.
The Sixth Commandment-You shall not commit adultery.
The Seventh Commandment-You shall not steal.
For Wednesday, October 6th Study:
The Eighth Commandment- You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
For Thursday, October 7th Study:
The Ninth Commandment-You shall not covet your neighbor’s house.
For Friday, October 8th Study:
The Tenth Commandment-you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
(Please remember that either catechism version of the Commandments may be said by your child.)
Language Arts: We are finished with Unit One. Unit One test will cover the stories, vocabulary, and phonics skills studied. The test will be TUESDAY.
Story-We’ll begin the second unit, Let’s Explore, on Wednesday. We’ll work on a read-aloud called A Log’s Life.
There will not be a story quiz next week.
Skills worked on will be: /e/, writing-using the traits of good writing, review of nouns and verbs
Word Wall Words: friend, car, write, when, sports
WORD WALL AND LANGUAGE TESTS ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8th
Math: Using symbols to compare numbers, before, after and between numbers, ordering numbers, number patterns on a hundred chart, even and odd numbers
Science: Test over Chapter Two—October 5th
Social Studies-We will begin Unit Two
LOOKING AHEAD:
Extra Reading Challenge: Pizza Hut is offering a reading incentive for our students for the months of October through March. Please see the attached sheet for further information. I think this is a great way for your student to work on reading skills!

October 18th/19th-Parent/Teacher consultations
November 1st-Grade Two has chapel.
The students have been working hard and are steadily showing improvement. Please give your child a “pat on the back” for the effort given!
