Week of August 23-27 Kindergarten Newsletter Fruits of the Spirit
Teacher: Mrs. Klosterman Email: Rachel.Klosterman@lsportal.net School Phone: 358-2512 Home Phone: 524-8249 Class Work *Reading– We will be working on letter recognition this week and rhyming. We completed the assessment on lower case letters and we will do the capital letters this week. I will be sending the results home at the end of the week. We will also be reading If you Give a Mouse a Cookie and doing activities with that book. *Religion– Creation *Memory– We will work on the Christian Pledge: I pledge allegiance to the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ and to the faith for which is stands, one Savior Eternal with mercy and grace for all. So help me God. Please work on at home. *Math- Counting to 10, Sorting Wednesday students will have a homework page to complete! *Science – 5 senses *Social Studies– Our world This Weeks Happenings in Kindergarten Monday– Chapel 8:30 (Remember Dress Code and Offering) Thursday– Show and Tell- Bring Something Special to You Friday- Gym Day; Next weeks newsletter will be on the website. Snacks Mrs. Klosterman will have snacks this week. Owen Bolte will have snacks and drinks next week and will be the star of the week. Please bring pictures. News Our class chapel offering is going to the American Cancer Society. Please remind your child on Monday mornings if they went to church or Sunday school on Sundays. I will ask them each Monday morning. If they go on Wednesday please send a note. If students drink their first milk at lunch and have half of their food gone on their tray then they may get extra milk. The extra milk is 25 cents. Mrs. Rothert is working with students on writing their first and last names between handwriting. All students who can do this by Friday then the next week they will write with shaving gel. We have been working on our classroom expectations and routines and will continue to do so. Please continue to reinforce listening, keeping hands to self, and raising hand. These seem to be the 3 main concepts students are having trouble with. I appreciate your support!
