Memory: As assigned for Christmas services. Please note there is memory for Monday again this next week.
Thank you all for your help in learning these most important words to help your child share the news of Jesus’ coming for all of us! The children have had quite a lot to learn so we really appreciate your help with this. St. Paul’s students will practice after school on 12/16/09.
Language Arts: Story: Out and About at City Hall
Vocabulary Words: council, mayor, elect, cashier, taxes, routes
Skills: Subject/verb agreement, drawing conclusions, capitalization review, noun/verb review
Story Quiz on Thursday.
Since we have studied about banking and how a town is governed, we plan to walk/ride in private cars to The People’s Bank and Brownstown Town Hall for tours on Tuesday, December 15th. We will walk if the weather is such that it is feasible. Otherwise, we will ride in private cars. A permission slip is attached. Please sign it and send it back by Tuesday. Thanks.

Word Wall and Language Tests on Friday
Math: We will continue work on word problems, place value, comparison symbols, fractions, writing numbers in expanded form.
Social Studies: Remember the Social Studies Unit Project is due on December 18th. There will be a Social Studies test over Unit Three on Tuesday.
Science: We are working on Chapter 7. We plan to have the chapter 7 test on Friday.

Pizza Hut Reading Challenge is due December 22nd.
Don’t forget our service project collection of mustard, ketchup, and jelly for Anchor House.
REMEMBER: The class “grab bag” gift exchange is on December 22nd. $5.00 gift, please.
Great stocking stuffer ideas: New crayons, a ruler, glue, new red colored pencils for paper corrections, new Ticonderoga #2 pencils.
Our class is to put together a basket for the LCS Auction coming up in February of 2010. If you have any ideas for a clever basket theme, please let me know. If you are interested in helping put it together, please contact me. Thank you!!!
