Greetings! It’s great to be back in the swing of class work, but it is time for a break. Some of us are getting on each other’s nerves and some people are being shunned. I know we are sinful, but I expect us to treat each other as Christ would treat us. As we go about our lives, let’s remember that fact.
I’ve tried to put up-to-date information on the class page but had some issues. Don’t give up on me, as I am determined to make this work! Just check back when you are checking your child’s grades on line. If I get it going and when you see it, I’d appreciate an email stating that it worked. That way I know for sure I was successful. Please email at robert.pottschmidt@lsportal.net.
Mr. Pottschmidt
Dividing 2-digit numbers, estimation in division, and reciprocals will keep us busy in math this week.
In language we hope to finish the final copy of the report this week.
Since we are studying the Civil War in social studies, we will read Charley Skedaddle, a historical fiction story about a 12-year-old drummer in the Union Army.
The students are teaching chapter 13 in social studies. The first 2 groups have done a pretty good job. They are discovering what is involved in teaching a lesson in social studies.
Science has us working with forces that affect motion.
In religion, we have begun our study of symbols. We continue that study this week as we complete the ones in our books and begin viewing a slide show of many others. They are drawing many of them and will be putting them into their own books.
Memory for next week is planned as follows:
Monday: -00-
Tuesday: Hymn 307 v. 2
Wednesday: Hymn 307 v. 3
Thursday: John 8:12
Friday: Revelation 5:12
Tests and Quizzes at a glance!
Please remember that these are planned, but may change as the week progresses.
Reading test Friday
Enjoy your spring break next week!
