The 4th Commandment: Honor your father and your mother.
The 5th Commandment: You shall not murder.
The 6th Commandment: You shall not commit adultery.
For Wednesday, September 21 Study:
The 7th Commandment: You shall not steal.
The 8th Commandment: You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
For Thursday, September 22 Study:
The 9th Commandment: You shall not covet your neighbor’s house.
For Friday, September 24 Study:
The 10th Commandment: You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
Language Arts:
Story: Corduroy Decodable: Just a Phase for Phil and Be a Wrangler Vocabulary: palace, escalator, dashing, yanked, fastened
Skills: /n/spelled kn, /r/ spelled wr, /f/spelled ph, making inferences, using capital letters, using a dictionary/glossary. STORY QUIZ on Thursday, 9/22/11
Spelling: wren, knot, knife, write, phone, graph, wrap, here, phase, knit
Challenge Words: alphabet, wrinkle, known, concrete, photo
Another page will be added to the “Spelling Activities” sheet. The students will choose any four activities to help them learn their words. Please do the activities in the notebook or as directed. Notebooks are due 9/23/11.
Spelling and Language tests will be on 9/23/11.
Science: We will continue to work on Unit One.
Social Studies: We’ll continue to work on Unit One.

- Please remember to keep helping your child with A.R. and working on math facts. Thanks for your attention to this.
- Please remember that there will only be Snappy Pizza served on September 20th. We could use a plate of cookies or fruit yet if anyone would be able to donate. Let me know if you would be willing to help out. Thanks.
- Weather permitting, we’ll walk to the Public Library on September 28.
- Social Studies project is due September 30th.
- Please make sure you have sent your child’s permission slip for this.
- Don’t forget the LCS chili supper coming up in October, please contact Angie Hallow if you will be able to help.
- Grandparent’s Day at LCS will be October 20th.
