First Grade School Supply List
2011-2012
#2 Ticonderoga Yellow Pencils 36 (These are very durable and sharpen well.)
2 boxes of crayons (24 count box)
2 felt tip marker pens (such as the Flair brand, blue or black, please no red)
Book Bag (Make sure it is big enough to put a folder and a text book inside.)
Black dry erase markers (3 or 4)
Scissors
Pocket Folders (2)
Erasers (4 of the pink or white rectangular- These work the best.)
Art Box
Elmer’s School Glue (Liquid and 4 Sticks)
1 box of zip top plastic bags (sandwich size)
3 boxes of tissues
1 Poster board for art portfolio (Can be purchased from the school)
Please note that it will be necessary to replace some of these items during the school year. You may want to take advantage of back to school sales and buy extras of the following items: pencils, crayons, folders, glue sticks and erasers.
Pencils, glue sticks, erasers and dry erase markers will be collected at the start of the year and passed out as extras are needed.
Students will need the following supplies at home to complete homework assignments: crayons, pencils, erasers, and a ruler.
Please mark your child’s supplies with his/her name or initials. Please do not mark the pencils, glue sticks, erasers, or dry erase markers.
A note about crayons: Some of the brands don’t use traditional color names on the crayons. It might say “sunburst” instead of “orange.” Please try to choose crayons that use traditional names. The Crayola brand has worked the best in the past.
