First Grade News
Week of February 7th-11th
Religion: The Parable of the Two Sons (Matthew 21: 28-32)
The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10: 30-37)
Memory: We will learn a song for chapel called “Love, Love.”
Monday: Love, Love, Love, Love

Due Friday: Chapel Part (This will be sent home on Monday on a separate sheet of paper.)
Reading: We will finish our unit on maps and globes. Students will read Sam’s Map, Our Class Trip, and The Zoo Trip. Vocabulary words used in these stories are tour, subway, hum, and birds of prey. High frequency words used in our decodables this week are good, now, and very. We are continuing to work on /oo/ spelled _ew, u_e, and oo (as in foot). The following vocabulary words from our unit will be on the test: map, globe, celebrating, subway, birds of prey.

Spelling: Words this week have the oo (goo) sound spelled oo and u_e.
