News and Notes
· I apologize to those who did not get their grade reviews on Friday. We had a chaotic end of the day, and the car riders left before I remembered to hand them out. They came home today. Please return the signed copy by Friday.
· Students will begin bringing home “Rocket Math” fact papers this week on days they do not pass to the next level. The first four facts on the sheet are the new ones they are working on. We have been learning the practice procedure in class. Students need to read the facts and answers to an adult. If they make a mistake or hesitate (about 2 seconds), tell them the correct answer. Have them say the fact and answer three times. Then have them back up three facts and start from there. Practice for five to ten minutes. If your child needs more practice, you could do 5 to 10 more minutes at a different time. There is no written work, so please have whoever is practicing with them initial the paper so I know it was done.
· Students need to bring in several different leaves (about 5) for science class on Wednesday. If possible, try to have a variety of shapes and sizes.
