The LEA Board recently approved allowing Lutheran Central School to move toward Indiana State Accreditation. For the 2007-08 school year, we will be considered by the State a "seeking school". If we meet all the requirements, we will be fully accredited after that.
LCS will begin doing everything the state requires starting this school year and that includes taking the ISTEP tests. Most people will notice little change from the past as the majority of the changes will occur in what we will need to report to the state. The most notable difference, in addition to taking the ISTEP tests, is that we will be required to have 180 days to school and therefore will have “School in Session- No Bussing” days to accommodate teacher’s conferences and the like. For the 2007-08 school year, we will be having school three times when the public schools are not in session. The number of “School in Session- No Bussing” days will vary from year to year.
