First Grade News: Oct. 29-31
Religion- Solomon- 1 Kings 3:3-15
Memory- Bible Verses (Students will need to say where each verse is found.)
Wednesday: Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Proverbs 3:5
Thursday: Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
Psalm 119:105
Math- Students will be reviewing adding 2 to a number, comparing objects, reviewing dimes and pennies, and writing number words.
Wednesday: Lesson 61B; Facts 61B
Thursday: Lesson 62B; Facts 62B
Reading-We are continuing a unit on “Responsibility.” Students will be learning the qu_, _ng, _nk spellings this week. Students will take a test on Friday over the concepts learned the past two weeks. The high frequency words for the week are: an, they, but, do, she (these words will be on the high frequency test this week)

Thursday: Book #54
*We will reading book #55 on Friday, I will send the book home with any student who still needs extra practice. If your child brings the book home please have them read it and return on Monday. I will review the book with them again on Monday.

*We are talking about our states symbols on Thursday. If you have anything at home that represents Indiana your child may bring it on Thursday.

First Grade News
* Daniel Peters will be the student on the all about me board next week. Please send in any pictures your child would like to share with the class. The pictures will be returned.
Friday is our Reformation party. We will have a costume parade in the morning. Students will need to come to school in their costume and will change after the parade if they want to. The costume theme is “What I Want to Be!” Here is a list of those who have signed up for the party: Snacks- Becky Darlage; Drinks- Rhonda Otting; Plates- Melanie Pottschmidt; Napkins- Teresa Brock. If you would like to come to the party please let me know.
*It is getting colder outside. Students will go outside unless the temperature is under 32, it is raining, or it is snowing. Please send the appropriate clothing with your child.
*Please ask your child if they still have all of their crayons. Some students are missing a lot of crayons and it is still the first trimester. If they are missing them please send new ones.
*Book order forms and money are due Nov. 7.
