Language Arts: Story: Review of Out and About at City Hall
As a follow up to our study of banking and town government, we will go on the field trip (originally scheduled prior to Christmas) on January 7th We’ll wear our class shirts. We will walk if the weather is such that it is feasible. Please dress your child appropriately. Otherwise, we will ride in private cars—my husband and I will be the drivers. A permission slip is attached. Please sign it and send it back by 1/5/11. Thanks.
We will begin Lesson 5- Grandpa’s Corner Store
Vocabulary Words: arrangement, tingle, huddled, sharp, construction, aisles
Skills: predicting, compare/contrast, contractions, parts of a book, open and closed syllables.
The quiz over Grandpa’s Corner Store will not be until next week. We will also do Benchmark testing next week.
