News
Beginning in October, our class will be participating in the book-it program. Each month students will receive a calendar with a goal written at the top. This month students will need to read or be read to 20 minutes 3 days a week. When they have read their 20 minutes have them color the letter for that day. On the last day of the month the calendars will be collected, a student meets his or her goal they will receive a pizza hut coupon. If a student meets the goal for each month (October to March) then they will receive an award the last day of school. The October calendars will be sent home on Friday, October 1. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Please work with your child on tying his or her shoe. Any student who can tie his or her shoe by Christmas will receive an award. I will give more information as the time comes closer.
Also continue to work on star words; we will be adding 2 new words each week. The words we have had so far are: a, and, go, I, had, he, see, the.
Remember to send a sack lunch and drink with your child on Friday for the field trip.
