Class Work
*Reading– Students will be taking benchmark tests this week to check their progression. I will let you know if your child has not progressed the way he or she should. We will be doing activities based on other story books this week.
* Word Wall Words (star words) this week- Review
*Religion– A Catch of Fish
*Memory– Bible Verse: Come, follow Me. Jesus Said. Matthew 4:19
*Math- Students will be working on paying with nickels, dividing by sharing, ordering numbers, comparing numbers. Please work on counting money at home.
*Science- Groundhog’s Day Weather Predictions
*Social Studies- Our Country

News
Thank you for all of your items for the basket. If you have not sent any items and would like to you can still send them in by Wednesday. Please send in your child’s favorite recipe along with any others you would like to add.
Our class will be going to Zion on March 8 for a joint chapel service at 12:30. We are going to need drivers. Mrs. O will be able to take 5 students so we will need enough drivers for 11. If you are able to drive please let me know the number you can take by Friday, February 5.
Our school is celebrating colt’s day in honor on the super bowl on Friday. Please have your child wear colt’s apparel or blue and white.
If you use small (8 oz.) margarine at home and do not need the container, we will use them here at school. Thank you!
Student council ran out of suckers last week. I still have the money that students brought in. Suckers should be on sell again this week.
