This is a reminder that your projects for The Whipping Boy are due by next Wednesday, January 13.  If you have any questions about the project, please don't wait to ask!

Here is the information again:

Time Capsule

Create a time capsule for one of the main characters in the Whipping Boy. In the time capsule, included at least five important items from the story that help tell what happened to that person in the book. Use items from around the house, small toys or stuffed animals, drawn or cut out pictures, maps, or other items to represent main ideas from the story.

For example, if you were making one for James and the Giant Peach, you might include a peach, some plastic insects, a picture of the Empire State Building, some cotton (to represent the cloud men), and a string.

Requirements:
1. Contents: At least 5 important items that help explain the main events or characters of the story.
2. Box or container: Outside must be completely covered or decorated with scenes from the book.
(A shoe box would probably work best)
3. Your name, the title of the book, and the author must be on the outside of the capsule and easy to find.
4. Pictures should be used sparingly, and you should draw or cut out the majority of them. You may        use the Internet or magazines, but only for a few items.
5. Summary: A written paragraph describing your time capsule. Make sure you tell why each item was included by explaining how it was important to the story.

The project is due Wednesday, January 13th.
