Memory for the Week of 11/7-11/11
This week we will be learning our November hymn of the month, “Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me” and a Bible verse that goes along with our theme (all memory will be fill-in-the-blank)
Tuesday, 11/8 (verse 1)
Jesus, Savior, pilot me
Over life’s tempestuous sea;
Unknown waves before me roll,
Hiding rock and treach’rous shoal.
Chart and compass come from Thee.
Jesus, Savior, pilot me.
Wednesday, 11/9 (verse 2)
As a mother stills her child,
Thou canst hush the ocean wild;
Boist’rous waves obey Thy will
When Thou say’st to them, “Be still!”
Wondrous Sov’reign of the sea,
Jesus, Savior, pilot me.
Thursday, 11/10 (verse 3)
When at last I near the shore
And the fearful breakers roar
Twixt me and the peaceful rest,
Then, while leaning on Thy breast,
May I hear Thee say to me,
“Fear not, I will pilot thee.”
Friday, 11/11 (Psalm 50:15)
“…and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
