Class Work
*Reading– Students will be learning the long A sound this week. We will be beginning Unit 8 Ready, Set, Grow. Students will be reading the decodable: Jake Plants Grapes on Friday.

*Math- Addition: Students will be learning to use stories to add and to identify the plus sign. Math homework will be on Wednesday.

Thursday-All School Opening Devotions at 8:10; Annual Cup Stacking Competition at 2:15; Show and Tell- Write About “Why I like to be at a Lutheran School”
Friday- Guest Breakfast. All School CLOSING Devotions at 2:50; Minute to Win It Games 2:00; Students wear orange Kindergarten shirts
Parents are more than welcome to join in any of the special events and opening or closing devotions.
Snacks and Drinks
Sophia McKinney will have snacks and drinks this week.
Leah Pottschmidt will have snacks and drinks next week.
News
Reminder March 6 is LCS Day at the Construction Zone from 2:30 to 4:30. Tickets are available in the office.
Students need to be working on tying their shoes if they don’t know yet. All students who can tie their shoes by May will get to go to the Dairy Queen for a treat. I would love to take everyone! We will be working on it this week during centers.
Remember to turn in the DQ report card envelope.
We are also working on writing neatly. Please encourage this at home.
Students may use any type of paper to write on for show and tell this week. If you need paper please let me know and I will send a piece home with your child.
Kindergarten students are wearing their orange shirts on Friday, March 11.
March 11 is the LC Spring Dance (adults only) at Pewter Hall. Tickets will be available at the door. The cost is $25 for single ticket and $40 for couples.
Kindergarten will be having Muffins for Moms May 5 from 8:30 to 11:30 and Donuts for Dads on May 31 from 8:30-10:30.
Spring Break will be March 21 to March 25.
