Class Work
*Reading– Students will be learning the short e sound like in pet and the q and y sounds this week. Students will be reading the decodable: Quin and the Jets on Friday.
* Word Wall Words (star words) this week- her; what
*Religion– Miracles of Jesus- Feeding the 5,000
*Memory– Bible Verse: “Let the little children come to me.” Mark 10:14
*Math- Students will be working on estimating and measuring length and width. Math Homework will be on Wednesday.
*Science- Solids and Liquids; Begin Plants and Animals; Reviewing Senses
*Social Studies- Presidents Day; Jobs

News
Students will continue to be tested on different concepts for the report card. They will be tested on letter recognition and sounds along with word wall words, reading 3 letter words, parts of a story, number and coin recognition, tying shoes, etc.
Thank you to everyone who brought in items or helped with the Valentine’s Day party. Also thank you to every student for their Valentines.
Our class is required to do a service project this year. If you have any ideas please let me know. In the past Kindergarten has picked up trash, had a toy drive, and sang at the nursing home.
As of now, our last day of school will be June 1. We will be going to school on all of the snow make-up days listed on the calendar.
Our school science fair will be at 7:00 on Thursday in the gym. There will be 1 board for kindergarten displaying our project.
