*Reading– Students will be learning the short u like in tug, x, and z sounds this week. We we will also be reading stories about shadows. Read Bud and Max on Friday.

News
Thank you for the 100th day items. It was a great day!
Book Orders are due on Monday.
We will be watching the school spelling bee on Thursday at 1:30.
The National Junior Honor Society will be selling cookies in the gym at lunch on Friday to raise money for Jump Rope for Heart. The cost of the cookies is either 50 cents or $1. Students can also wear red on Friday for $1 (proceeds go to Jump Rope for Heart). Donations for the fundraiser are due on February 11.
Looking ahead, Kindergarten will have a Muffins for Moms event on Thursday, May 5. Students will be conducting chapel that day; we will then have activities and eat lunch. We will begin the event at 8:30 and lunch will be over at 11:30. All moms are welcomed/encouraged to attend. I am also working on a date for the end of the year field trip. I will let you know when I have those dates.
