Class Work
*Reading– Students will be doing activities to review rhyming. (Please practice rhyming at home also.) We will be reviewing/learning to recognize the letters Aa-Gg. Please work on these letters at home. Students will being reading 2 Decodables (short books) this week. Please keep them at home to practice reading.
* Word Wall Word this week- a, the (please work on at home)
*Religion– Joseph and Brothers- Genesis 37
*Memory– The Christian Pledge Review
*Math- Students will be on positions. We have been working on writing the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 please work with your child at home on these numbers. Homework will be on Wednesday.
*Science – 5 Senses
*Social Studies– Homes and Communities

Owen Bolte will have snacks this week and will be the star of the week.
Jayden Brown will have snacks next week and will be the star of the week. Please bring pictures.
News
We are doing many activities with letter recognition. If you have an empty cereal box at home please send it in for an activity we will do in the next couple of weeks. Thank you!
I am sending the blankets home on Friday (Sept. 3) to be washed. Please return them on Tuesday.
Remember to send in a box of granola bars for the 5K race in memory of Grace Scarlett. If you have done so thank you!
I have decided to not allow kindergarten students extra milk for now. They are having trouble eating all of there food and drink 2 milks.
We will be ordering t-shirts this week. If you have not returned the order forms please do as soon as possible if you would like a shirt for your child or you. Money will be collected when the shirts come in.
We will be going to Darin and Sherry Rorig’s farm on Friday, October 8. We will leave the school at 9 and return at 12. I will give more details in a few weeks.
