First Grade Newsletter
Weeks of November 23-25th and November 30th-December 4th
Please note this newsletter covers the week of Thanksgiving as well as the week following.
Religion: Students will begin a new unit called Waiting. They will be learning about Daniel. (Daniel 1 and 6)
Memory
Monday, November 23rd: I will call upon the Lord, who is worth to be praised. Psalm 18: 3
Tuesday, November 24th: The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. Hebrews 13:6
*Please note that starting the week of November 30th will be based on the Christmas programs. Your child will have a program in their folder marked with their memory. Please put this program back in their folder each night. Since children have different parts, I need their individual programs to accurately grade their memory. The memory will not be listed on the newsletter since each child’s will be different. As I’m writing this, I still have a few questions as to the parts that have been assigned. I will send programs home marked with dates as soon as possible.

Announcements
*Thank you to all the grandparents for visiting our classroom. The children had a great day.
*Thank you for supporting our book fair. We were able to get a lot of great books and learning tools for our classroom.
*As it grows colder, please remember that the children are outside at recess for up to 20 minutes at a time. Children need to be dressed for the weather. Girls especially need to make sure they have on tights/leggings on cold days and socks with all shoes. The children can always take off their jackets if they are too hot, but we do not have extra for them to wear. Thank you.
*Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
