Class Work
*Reading– Our class will be reading The Night Before Christmas this week and doing activities with the concepts of story elements, story theme, real or fantasy along with a book report about the story. We will be working on putting the letters we have studied into words.
* Word Wall Words (star words) this week- Review
*Religion– Jesus Birth
*Memory– We will be working on Christmas parts and songs. Please work with your child on the song Away in a Manger.
*Math-Reviewing math concepts from this year.
This Weeks Happenings in

Monday- Christmas Dress Up Day (student council will be judging)
Tuesday- Chapel- 8:30; 12:30 Geography Bee; 1:30 Sing-a-long; Between 1:50 and 2:00- Christmas Party Begin
Snacks and Drinks
Will Baker will have snacks when we return from Christmas Break.
News
If you have the movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas or The Polar Express, please let me know as soon as possible if we could borrow it on Tuesday. Thank you!
Don’t forget to bring a plain white t-shirt on Tuesday for our Christmas song. If possible please have your child wear a red, green, or white long sleeve shirt that day so they can put their tshirt over it.
Don’t forget to bring the gift for whoever your child drew for the Christmas Gift exchange.
Our Christmas party will be on Tuesday, December 20. Those helping include: Sweet Treat: Brody Teipen and Sam Rohr; Salty/Healthy Treat: Addison Darlage Drinks: Evan Shuler, Plates and Napkins: Hudson Fritz Help, Games/Activities/Crafts: Emily Darlage. Everyone is welcome to come to the party. The party will begin at 1:45 with snacks and then students will open presents and do activities.
Book-it forms will be collected when we return from break, January 3.
School will be closed Wednesday, December 22 and will resume on Tuesday, January 3. We will have chapel when we return. The newsletter for that week will be posted on Monday, January 2 for that week.
