Lutheran Central Third Grade
Supply List for 2011-2012
· 24-36 plain yellow #2 pencils (Ticonderoga if possible—these are more durable, sharpen easier, and last much longer than other varieties)
· 1 large pink or white eraser
· 1 pack of pencil cap erasers
· 1 pack of highlighters (multiple colors)
· 2 wide-ruled spiral notebooks (different colors)
· 2 wide-ruled composition notebooks
· 2 pocket folders with the metal 3-hole prongs (different colors)
· 1 package of 3”x 5” OR 4”x 6” index cards
· Post-It notes (plain/square)
· 2 fine-tip dry erase markers
· Plastic art box (cigar box size)
· Scissors
· Crayons (set of 24)
· Colored pencils (set of 12 to 24)
· Washable markers (thin tip—set of 8 to 12)
· 3 glue sticks
· 1 bottle Elmer’s glue
· 2” binder
· Pocket Folders (3-hole punched)—1 red, 1 blue, 1 green
*Please make sure these fit well into the binder.
· Zippered pencil pouch (3-hole punched)
These will be for our organization system and will go between home and school everyday. A durable binder and plastic folders are likely to make it through the year without needing to be replaced, while the paper/cardboard-like folders tend to rip out. Also, the pencil pouches with the plastic zippers break very easily.
· NIV Bible
· 2-3 Boxes of Kleenex
· Backpack—please make sure your binder fits easily, along with extra room for a textbook or two!
Supplies (especially glue, markers, etc.) may need to be replenished throughout the year.

· Ziploc bags (any size)
