Class Work
*Reading– Students will be reviewing the s and m sounds. We will be beginning the d sound this week. Tuesday- Decodable- We Go! Please keep the decodable readers for review.

*Memory– Hymn of the Month Great is Thy Faithfulness
*Math- Students will be identifying 1 and 2 more and fewer. There will be an assessment on numbers 1 to 5 and more and fewer this week. Math homework will be on Wednesday night. (the page needs to completed and returned!)
*Science- Plants and Animal Needs
*Social Studies- Responsibility; Communities

Kindergarten
Monday– No School
Tuesday- Chapel 8:30; Please let me know church attendance for Sunday
Wednesday- Library Day; Wear any team shirt
Thursday– Show and Tell- Bring something that begins with d (required); Wear Red
Friday- Book-It forms due; Costume Parade; Reformation Party; Wear LC apparel
Snacks and Drinks
Sophia McKinney will have snacks this week and be the star of the week. Please send in pictures.
Leah Pottschmidt will have snacks next week and be the star of the week.
News
Our Reformation party will be on Friday, October 29. Students will be asked to dress as a Bible story character or nursery rhyme character. We will be doing a costume parade with 1st and 2nd grade. Snacks: Kelly Cunningham; Drinks: Sarah Brown; Plates and Napkins; Sarah Brown; Games: Suzanne Bolte; Help at Party: Stephanie Teipen and Suzanne Bolte. If you cannot bring your assigned snacks please let me know.
We are recognizing Red Ribbon Week this week with dress-up days. The days are listed on the daily schedule above.
Mrs. Bruce from the health department was here last Wednesday for a hand washing program.
T-shirts are here if you have not paid for your child’s t-shirt please send in money this week. Thank you!
Please put your child’s book-it calendars in their folders on Friday, I will collect them and send new calendars on Monday, Nov. 1.
Grandparent’s Day is November 12 from 8:30 to lunch. We will go to chapel, do activities, and eat lunch. There will be a sign-up form coming soon.
