Reading
We will continue reading the novel The Whipping Boy
Language—Descriptive Writing
We will talk about what makes good descriptive writing, and find strong examples.  We will practice describing different objects, and then write a descriptive paragraph.
Math—L. 67-69
Subtracting 2-digit numbers; Naming #'s to 1,000;  Adding/Subtracting Multiples of 100; Multiplying by 2 
*Facts Focus: Subtracting 3 and 4 (Facts Test on Friday)
Social Studies—Chapter 4 
Regions of the U.S.--We will finish working on our project.  Quilt squares and paragraphs are due on Friday.
We will start Chapter 4--Interactions between people and physical features.
Science—Water (Ch. 5)
Water in the World; Forms of Water; The Water Cycle
 
Spelling Words—L. 13
 
 
--Please sign and return the report card envelope by Friday.
--Christmas program practices will start this week.  Students will get a copy of the program, which should stay in their Keepers folder except for during practices.  They will also have a memory sheet for in their binders.
--Students brought home information on our class gift exchange last week.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.
--Book orders are due 12/8.  If you are ordering something as a gift and do not want it sent home with your child, just let me know.
