Monday: I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth

Wednesday: suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was
buried.
Thursday: He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the
dead.
Math- Students will be reviewing sums of 10 facts; congruent shapes, and learning to measure a line segment to the nearest inch. We will have a fact test on Tuesday and a written math test.
Monday: Lesson 95B; Fact Homework 95
Wednesday: Lesson 96B; Facts 96B
Thursday: Lesson 97B; Facts 97B
Reading- We are continuing our unit on “Weather.” We are learning the long a sound spelled ai and _ay; the long i sound spelled igh, _y, and _ie. We will have an assessment on Wednesday over the concepts we have learned so far. The high frequency words include: every, boy, could, some, going
Monday: Read Decodable # 74
Tuesday: Read Decodable # 75
Thursday: Read Decodable # 76
Vocabulary- storing and tornado
Spelling: The test will be on Friday.

*Dakota Trowbridge will be on the All About Me Board next week. Please send in pictures by Thursday.
*Students have an opportunity to go to our school library on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
* We will continue working on our Science Fair Project this week. We will not have music on Monday so we can work on Science Fair. The students will be put in three groups. I will have 1 project for the class. The groups will put the information from the project together. As the science fair gets closer, we may need extra help in our class. If you would be interested in helping, please let me know. Thank you!
*Our class will be going with 2nd grade to the Derby Dinner Playhouse on Wednesday Feb. 27. If you would like to go as a chaperone please let me know. We can only take 5 parents from our class.
* Beth Allen will be our classroom aide. She will work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday the next two weeks and then work in our classroom everyday. Mrs. Blackwell will continue to work in our room Tuesday and Thursday until Mrs. Allen can be here everyday.
* I noticed that the baptismal birthday party for Cassidy, Ryland, Megan, and Hunter Tormoehlen is scheduled for February 15 which is the day after our Valentine’s Day party. I would like to change it to Friday, February 22. If this is a problem please let me know. Thank you!
*Grade Reviews are due back on Friday.
*Thank you for sending in 100 items for our trail mix. The students had a great 100th day and the costumes were great!
