Memory for the Week of 10/3-10/7
This week we will be learning our October hymn of the month, “Guide Me, O Thou Great Redeemer” and a Bible verse that goes along with our theme. All memory will be fill-in-the-blank.
Tuesday, 10/4 (verse 1)
Guide me, O Thou great Redeemer,
Pilgrim through this barren land.
I am weak, but Thou art mighty;
Hold me with Thy pow’rful hand.
Bread of heaven, bread of heaven,
Feed me till I want no more;
Feed me till I want no more.
Wednesday, 10/5 (verse 2)
Open now the crystal fountain
Whence the healing stream doth flow;
Let the fiery, cloudy pillar
Lead me all my journey through.
Strong deliv’rer, strong deliv’rer,
Be Thou still my strength and shield;
Be Thou still my strength and shield.
Thursday, 10/6 (verse 3)
When I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside;
Death of death and hell’s destruction,
Land me safe on Canaan’s side.
Songs of praises, songs of praises
I will ever give to Thee;
I will ever give to Thee.
Friday, 10/7 (Isaiah 40:29-31a)
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.”
