Please note: The following memory is from the 1986 copyright Luther’s Small Catechism. You may prefer that your child learn the Commandments from the 1971 copyright version. You may wish to check as to what version your pastor will be using during Confirmation. Either version is fine with me.
Memory: For Tuesday, September 29th Study:
The First Commandment: You shall have no other gods. What does this mean? We should fear, love, and trust in God above all things.
For Wednesday, September 30th Study:
The Second Commandment: You shall not misuse the name of the Lord you God.
For Thursday, October 1st Study:
The Third Commandment: Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
For Friday, October 2nd Study:
Honor your father and your mother.
Language Arts:
Story: Corduroy

Math: Adding tens, identifying pair, tens and ones, halves, fourths, and eighths
PLEASE KEEP WORKING ON MATH FACTS WITH YOUR STUDENT----It is imperative that the addition and subtraction facts be MEMORIZED by the end of grade two. Grade three math (and beyond) will be so much easier if the children will practice, practice, and practice some more on getting these facts memorized!! As their parents I know you want to help them do their best, I am working to assist you here at school and your child needs your support at home on this as well. Thank you.
