First Grade News: March 9-13
Religion- Two Men Pray- Luke 18; The Lord’s Prayer- Luke 11
Memory- Hymn of the Month- Stricken Smitten and Afflicted 4th Verse
Monday: Here we have a firm foundation, Here the refuge of the lost
Tuesday: Christ, the Rock of our salvation, Is the name of which we boast
Wednesday: Lamb of God, for sinners wounded, Sacrifice to cancel guilt!
Thursday: None shall ever be confounded Who on Him their hope have built.
Math- Students will learn to add 3-digits and count dimes, pennies, and nickels. Students will have a fact test and a written assessment on Wednesday.

Thursday: Lesson 116B; Facts 116B
Reading- Students will read The Itsy Bitsy Spider and The Tortoise and the Hare. Students will be learning the /oi/ sound spelled oi and _oy, /r/ spelled wr, and /f/ spelled ph. Students will have a test on Friday over the story, vocabulary, and sounds for this week. The high frequency words are: old

First Grade News
*Star Reader Reports will be going home on Monday. The highlighted numbers will tell the grade equivalent that the test gave in November and the one for February. You should see some improvement or close to the same.
*Spring Break will begin on March 23.
*Yo-yo’s will be on sale in the office from 8 to 9 each morning this week. Students most have payment and order form.
*Remember to all report card envelopes need to be returned.
