Social Studies: Unit One Project due on September 30th.
For each unit in Social Studies we work on a project to better help us understand what is important about the unit. Your child may choose one of these options for his/her unit project.
The options are:
·         Make a poster describing the three branches of the U.S. Government and what they do. Be ready to explain your poster.
·         Write a report about what makes one is eligible to vote in our country. Be ready to tell the class about when they will get to vote.
·         Choose a law from a street sign you have seen. Using Activity Pattern A3 (provided by teacher), draw a picture of the law being followed. Then cut along the lines and put the pieces in an envelope. Be ready to tell about the law that is being followed in your puzzle.
Science:  We hope to continue with Chapter One. I will send the book home as we are ready for a quiz. Thank you for your patience.
REMEMBER:
Grade Reviews will be issued on Sept. 16th. Please return them on Monday, September 19th.   Thanks!
Windy City Players will be here 9/14/11.
School pictures are on September 15th.
Race for Grace on September 18th.
The cooks are going to be gone on September 20th. We’ll have a Snappy Tomato Pizza day. Milk will be provided with the pizza. Mr. Sprengel said that we may ask for fruit, veggies, orcookies. If any of you would like to provide something for our class, let me know.
I had a note from Angie Hallow regarding the annual Chili Supper which benefits our school. We are in need of more volunteers for that evening. We have so many blessings at our school. It would be fantastic if we had more volunteers than needed this year. Please consider helping out. If all take part no one has to be burdened. Our school is worth it.

May God continue to bless you and your family with His joy and peace.
