Language Arts: NWEA testing will take place next week. We are finished with Unit 5 so we will have a test over it on Monday. (Vocabulary words have been sent home.) We will work on several decodables and begin Unit 6 but there will not be a story quiz.

Math: Estimating time, calendars, temperature, and word problems—keep working on math facts!! We move on to timed subtraction tests this next week.
Social Studies-Test over Unit 5 on Wednesday, 4/6/11
F.Y.I.:
· Grade Two participates in NWEA testing which measures the progress your child has made since last fall. We will have testing on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (April 5-7). Please encourage your student to do his/her best, make sure they have plenty of rest, and that he/she eats breakfast each day. Thanks!!
· The student council of LCS is sponsoring a drive to help the people of Haiti. A note was sent home regarding this prior to Spring Break. Please remember that contributions/donations need to be at school by April 6th. Thank you for your generosity!!
· The Easter party will be on 4/25/11. The following people have signed up to help:
