          Travel Map Project Details:
*With your child, talk about some of the different states your child has visited. Help them choose the state they remember the best.
*Help them draw a map outline of the state. Include the cities that they visited in the state. (It would be best if there was more than one city visited.)
*Draw and label one example of a landform (such as mountains, desert, swamp, forest) and one body of water found in that state.
*Create a map key for the features on the map. (Ex: a skyscraper for a large city, a cactus for a dessert, a triangle for a mountain, etc.)
*In class, students will locate their state on the map and tell us about the state.
*Please encourage your child to be neat. Crayons, colored pencils, or markers may be used.

Science: We will finish Chapter 2 on Animal Habitats. Leveled readers will be sent home. They cover the material in Chapter 2 and are designed for specific reading levels.
