Class Work
*Reading– Students will be reviewing the /z/, /u/, and /x/ sounds this week. We will also be working on blending 3 and 4 letter words together. Please work on this at home also. Students will have the decodable Liz and Tad on Friday.
* Word Wall Words (star words) this week- all
*Religion– Jesus Blesses the Children- Mark 10:13
*Memory– Bible Verse: “Let the little children come to me.” Mark 10:14
*Math- Students will continue working with fractions. Students will have math homework on Wednesday.

News
Beginning this week, students will be tested on different concepts for the report card. Students will be tested on letter recognition and sounds along with word wall words, reading 3 letter words, parts of a story, number and coin recognition, tying shoes, ect.
If your child collected money for the Jump Rope for Heart please send in the money by this Friday, February 11.
Our Valentine’s Day party is on Monday, February 14 beginning at 2:15. Those signed up to bring items include: Snacks- Jamie Walker; Drinks- Kelly Cunningham; Plates and Napkins- Joanah Wischmeier; Party Favors- Sarah Brown; Games/Activities: Tomie Campbell; Help at Party- Joanah Wischmeier and Stephanie Teipen. If it does not work for you to bring the above item please let me know. Thank you!
Students will have bags to put Valentines next Monday morning. If you would like to send Valentines in for each student we have 16 (3girls and 13 boys). Students will get to open them during the party..
Our school will be having spirit days this week to get the girls ready for the basketball Lutheran tourney. Those spirit days will be listed on the website. The games will be played Friday to Sunday at Trinity Lutheran High School in Seymour.
We will have school on Monday, February 21 to make-up a snow day.
The science fair will be on February 24 at 7:00. I encourage all students to come.
