--Students will have some of these words on their personal lists, along with high-frequency words they misspelled on last week’s pretest.

--Two of these challenge words will be randomly chosen for extra credit on Friday's test.
Homework: WS, Sail Words, “Look-Cover-Write” (these activities will be explained in class on Monday and Tuesday). Remember, spelling units are due on Thursday.
News and Notes
· We are planning on ordering class shirts again this year to wear for field trips and special events. The cost should be somewhere between $6-8, depending on the number ordered. Please detach the slip below and return by this Friday (August 27). Thanks!
· Make sure you bring in your art portfolio by Wednesday!
· On Friday, we will be doing a special activity with the 6 Traits of writing, and we will need some special treats donated. If you would be willing to send in one of the items we will need, please contact me. (I don’t want to ruin the surprise here, but they are all small grocery items…)
