Class Work
*Reading– Students will be reading stories and poems about shadows. We will be reviewing all of the sounds we have learned so far. Please work on putting 3 letter words together at home and then 4 letter words. Students will read Liz and Tad on Friday.

*Religion– Jesus Calls His Disciples
*Memory– Bible Verse: Speak Lord for Your servant is listening. Samuel 3:9
*Math- We will be doing different activities with 100 on Monday. Students will be counting nickels and identifying a cylinder. Please send in 10 nickels.
*Science- Penguins and Artic Weather
*Social Studies- Our Country

News
Monday, January 25 is our 100th day. Students are asked to bring 100 of something in a plastic bag with his or her name on it.
Please send in donated items for the kitchen theme basket by Friday, January 29. Angie Hallow has offered to put a cookbook together for the basket. Please send in your child’s favorite recipe along with any others you would like to add.
Mrs. Keller, Pastor Keller’s wife, is the teacher’s aide for grades K-2. We welcome her to our school!
Book orders are due February 1. I hope to get the order in and have the books by Valentine’s Day.
Our class will be going to Zion on March for a joint chapel service at 12:30. We are going to need drivers. Mrs. O will be able to take 5 students so we will need enough drivers for 11. If you are able to drive please let me know the number you can take by Friday, February 5.
Our class field trip will be on Wednesday, May 26 and our Mother’s Day Tea is Thursday, May 6.
