First Grade News
Week of May 24th-June 2nd
(The last newsletter of the year!)
Religion: Students will finish the unit on Praise.
Memory: We will continue reviewing the Ten Commandments
Monday: The Fourth Commandment: Honor your father and mother.
Tuesday: The Fifth Commandment: You shall not murder.
Wednesday: The Sixth Commandment: You shall not commit adultery.
Thursday: The Seventh Commandment: You shall not steal.
Reading: We will read another story from Unit 10 I am Brave. This week’s story is Ira Sleeps Over. Vocabulary words used in this story are problem, match, and changed my mind. We will be reviewing contractions.
Monday: Read pages 236-249 of Ira Sleeps Over.
Tuesday: Read pages 250-264 of Ira Sleeps Over.
Wednesday: Decodable
Thursday: Read Ira Sleeps Over.
Friday: Test
Spelling: There will be a pretest on Monday and a test on Friday.
Words: pointing, looking, hoping, walking, biking, chasing, hiding, eating, shrinking, hearing
Math: We will be working on adding 2-digit numbers.
Monday: Worksheet
Tuesday: Worksheet
Wednesday: Worksheet

Science: We will talk about speed and motion.
