The new Bible story book is Jesus is Coming. The first Bible lessons are “Prophets Tell of the Savior” and “The Name of the Savior”

Language Arts: Reading Test over Unit Two on Monday, November 16th
Skills covered-Long and short vowel sounds, types of sentences, titles, nouns, plurals, vocabulary words from the reading stories covered.
We’ll begin a new unit—Unit 3—Around the Town
Story: Red Light, Green Light, Mama and Me (11/17-11/24)
Vocabulary: practice, public, recognize, automatically, perched
Skills: summarizing, finding the main idea, figuring out the setting, using adjectives
Story Quiz will be November 24

Word Wall and Language Tests on 11/20/09
Math: Subtraction facts, working on completing 100 addition facts in 5 minutes or less, regrouping (carrying, trading) in addition
Science- Chapter Five Test on 11/20/09.
Reminders:
- A new ZPD number for working on Accelerated Reading will be sent home this next week. Watch for it. Remember your child needs to read within this range and get 80% on the A.R. tests to earn points. Remember—A.R. points count as one reading test score. Eight points are required per trimester. Thank you for helping to monitor this.
- Report cards will be sent on Friday, Nov.20th
