First Grade News: May 11-15

Math- Our class will begin the first 15 lessons of 2nd grade math this week. We will also be reviewing counting money and math facts.

Reading- Students will continue unit 9, Home Sweet Home. Students will have a test on Thursday over the story, vocabulary, and sounds for this week.
Students can take AR test this week. Thursday will be the last day students can take AR tests.

First Grade News
*First and Second grade will be going on a field trip to the Indianapolis Children Museum on Tuesday, May 26. Permission slips are due on May 14.
*This Thursday, May 14 will be the last day students can take AR tests.
*The track and field day committee is still looking for volunteers to help in the afternoon next Friday. Please contact Angie Stuckwisch or the office if you are interested.
*We will be going to the track in the afternoon this week. I am not sure about the days because of the weather. If your child does not wear tennis shoes to school please send them with your him or her each day.
*Friday is track and field day. We will begin in the gym with devotions at 8:30 and then go to the BCHS track. All parents and guests are invited to attend. We will have activities in the afternoon here at the school. At 2:50 the class who raised the most money for Cystic Fibrosis will get to make Mrs. Isaacs into a sundae. Thank you to everyone for their donations for Cystic Fibrosis.
*Just a reminder our last day of school will be on May 28. We will have awards at 1:00 that day. Students will be allowed to leave after the awards program if there is someone to take them home.
