National Lutheran Schools Week!
First Grade News: March 2-6, 2009
Religion- Prayer- Matthew 15:21-28; Ten Men with Leprosy-Luke 17
Memory- Bible Verses
Monday: Call to me and I will answer you. Jeremiah 33:3
Wednesday: Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. Psalm 136:1
Math- Students will be learning new addition facts, identifying cones and spheres, and identifying $1. Students will not have a test this week.
Monday: Lesson 111A; Fact Homework 111
Tuesday: Lesson 112B; Facts 112B
Thursday: Lesson 113B; Facts 113B
Reading- This week our class will be reading a Dr. Seuss book each day and doing activities that go with the book. Students will have a leveled reader from our unit that they will read 2 nights and AR books the other 2 nights. Students will be reading a book of their choice the class on their specified day.
Monday: AR Books
Tuesday: Leveled Reader
Wednesday: AR Books
Thursday: Leveled Reader
*First Grade is doing an excellent job on AR tests. Please continue to read AR books. :)
Writing: Descriptive Writings
Spelling: No Test this week; we will be working on our word wall words in class.

Handwriting- Review
Social Studies- Saving Our Resources
Science-Land, Water, and Air

*Friday is a half day. Students will be dismissed at 12:45. I would also like for everyone to wear their yellow 1st grade t-shirt.

*Snappy Pizza Reading Sheets will be sent home this week. I put January and February together because of the snow days.
*Please return the report card envelopes as soon as your child redeems his or her prize at Dairy Queen.
