First Grade News: March 31-April 4, 2008
Religion- Jesus Washes His Disciple’s Feet; Jesus’ Last Supper
Memory- Hymn of the Month- Alleluia! Jesus is Risen!
Monday: Alleluia! Jesus is risen! Trumpets resounding in glorious light!
Tuesday: Splendor, the Lamb,Heaven forever! Oh, what a miracle God has in sight
Wednesday: Jesus is risen and we shall arise: Give God the glory! Alleluia!
Math- Students will be identifying polygons, difference of 2 facts, and problem solving this week. Students will have a fact test and a written math test on Wednesday.

Thursday: Lesson 126B; Facts 126B
Reading-We are continuing our unit called “I Think I Can” On our concept boards this unit each student is welcomed to bring in pictures of them participating in an activity or a picture of something they have learned to do.
Students will be learning the /f/ sound spelled ph and /r/ sound spelled wr. Students will have a test on Thursday over the phonics and parts of speech learned in this chapter.

* 1st grade did a wonderful job conducting our chapel service on Maundy Thursday. I am very proud of them!!!:)
*Thank you to everyone who helped with the Easter party. The children enjoyed celebrating the Jesus’ resurrection.
