News and Notes
· The students were wonderful when we walked to the library last Wednesday. I was very proud of them and how well they settled in to do their Read-to-Self!
· The students also worked very hard on their NWEA tests. We will discuss these results at Parent-Teacher Conferences (October 12-13). Look for a note at the end of this week with your scheduled time.
· Our class T-shirts have come in. The final cost was $7. Shirts will be sent home when they are paid for.
· As the weather gets cool, please make sure your child brings a jacket or sweatshirt. Sometimes it is not quite warm enough when we go out for recess in the morning!
· As memory starts to get a little more challenging, please make sure your child can pronounce any difficult words and understands what they are saying. Our goal is for them to know these passages by heart, and part of that is attaching meaning to the words. We try to do this in class, but it doesn’t always happen.
